The POS: one tap from ready to paid
Last updated July 17, 2026
The POS screen is where tickets end. It lists every ticket that's Ready for collection at your current outlet, oldest first, with a live count in the header. Tap a ticket, and the payment sheet opens with the full price breakdown.
Confirming a payment
The payment sheet shows the subtotal, every discount as its own line — promotions, tier discount, vouchers — and the final total. Pick how the customer pays and hit Confirm. That single tap records the payment and collects the ticket: it archives into history, loyalty points are awarded, and the queue is done with it.
Payment methods
Eight ways to settle, straight from the chips on the sheet: Cash, DuitNow QR, TNG, GrabPay, Card, Bank transfer, Voucher, and Free. Cash is pre-selected because it's still the counter default. The record keeps the method, so your reports can tell QR days from cash days.
Discounts arrive by themselves
- Promotions you've set up (happy hour, day-of-week deals) attach at booking time and appear as read-only savings lines. The cashier can't remove or edit them — the customer was promised that price when they booked, and the POS keeps the promise.
- Tier discounts apply automatically for loyalty customers — for example, 5% for Silver and 10% for Gold on the default ladder.
- Vouchers are the one discount the cashier controls: the sheet lists the customer's own active vouchers as tappable chips. Pick the ones to use — each shows as its own minus-line — and they're marked used the moment payment confirms, never before, never twice. There are no codes to type. Walk-in tickets without a customer account have no vouchers to pick.
Adding something before payment
Customer at the counter says yes to a wax? Tap + Add item to this ticket on the payment sheet. Any add-on that's priced for the ticket's vehicle type can be attached, the total updates instantly, and promotions recalculate — an add-on that pushes the ticket over a minimum-spend promo triggers the discount on the spot. Items already on the ticket, or not priced for that vehicle, show as unavailable rather than silently failing.
This works strictly before payment. Once a ticket is paid — or the customer has a payment in flight in their app — amendments are refused.
Tickets paid in the customer app
A ticket the customer already settled online wears a green Paid online badge. The POS won't let anyone charge it again — the only action left is Mark collected when the car is handed over.
Prepaid wash packs
If the customer holds an active prepaid wash pack that covers this wash, the sheet offers Redeem 1 wash — one tap uses a wash from their pack and settles the ticket at RM 0. The pack's remaining balance updates immediately.
What the POS doesn't do yet
Honesty corner: there's no split payment (one method per ticket), no change calculator, and no refund button — a mistaken charge is currently handled by settling it and raising a fresh ticket. Printed or emailed receipts aren't built yet either; every payment is stored with its full breakdown, so receipts can be added later without losing history.
